@Miraz If the padlocks are linked together in a chain it indicates multiple different people/organisations/contractors all have to access the site and don’t really trust each other to share keys. The road looks well maintained.

@ReaderJohn Thank you for a reminder of hope in times when it can seem hard to find. Knowing that God walks with us through times of darkness helps me to keep on facing the awfulness of this world when it would seem easier to try to escape reality into the dreamland of entertainment and false narratives.
@manton That was a very interesting read. I have not yet read the articles by Dan Williams that he was referring to, but the concept of ‘elite radicalization’ makes good sense and seems to explain how extreme views are propagated via social media. I think you should take encouragement that many of the thoughtful decisions you have made with micro.blog would effectively dampen down the spread of toxic ideas within this community – avoiding follower counts and any ‘retweet’ mechanism, staying away from algorithmic timeline control, the things you discuss in your book (which I am learning a lot from by the way). Maintaining a healthy community is becoming increasingly important, as the Charlie Kirk shooting shows that extreme ideas can lead to extreme actions.
@Miraz I am very sympathetic to your hard work moving house, we are getting ready to move ourselves in 3 weeks and there is sooo much to do!
@jonah Hi, interesting to me that this topic of using a blog to “think out loud” but without engaging in the wider social media crowd has come up today when I am considering starting a new blog to do that very thing. I want thoughtful feedback but not a melee of arguing. Thanks or your thoughts on these things.
