What I am doing, planning, reading, and thinking about currently (1 September 2025)
Working as a Water Treatment Operator
Completing my certificate in water treatment, mostly online 88% completed.
We are currently living in Balclutha, but are intending to move back to Dunedin sometime in the next few months.
Not reading much as I need to be focussing on finishing my water treatment course, and most of my books are packed in boxes ready to move.
Despite the fact I should be cracking on with my water certificate, I am mulling over starting a new blog. Initially I want to focus on the theme of ‘endings’, a broad topic that I envisage covering what it means to be human, some religion, some philosophy, physiology, technology, sociology, anthropology and a smattering of popular culture. That sounds like an ambitious project but I’m needing an intellectual challenge.
I’ve been listening to a lot of punk and post punk music lately, it helps get me through the days at work.
We are also in the tiresome process of sorting through and packing up all our stuff ready to move. I hate moving but we are getting more efficient at it each time.
