What’s in a name?

The name of this blog comes from John 6:68 in the Bible, where many of Jesus’ disciples are turning away from him and he asks the twelve apostles if they also want to leave him. Peter answers Jesus, saying,

Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life, and we have believed, and come to know, that you are the Holy One of God”.

I also have believed, and come to know, that Jesus Christ alone has the words of eternal life and that the words of Jesus as recorded in the Bible do become the means of opening our hearts to the eternal life that Jesus offers as we trust in him for our salvation.

In this blog I want to explore the words of eternal life that we have in the Bible, and especially to consider how God and His Word are the satisfaction of our souls.
