Remember the poor

Shan-Tai prayer month, day 3

Inside Shan State access to medication and health care is very limited and diseases such as malaria extract a high toll from the population, with many people suffering because they cannot afford the costs of medical care. For those Shan Tai people living in Thailand as refugees from the fighting in Burma (Myanmar) life is also very difficult as they are not considered to be Thai citizens. Coping with tropical illnesses is always hard, much more so when people cannot afford medicines.

Pray for:
  • God’s healing mercy to work amoung the Shan who are sick  (Matthew 4:23).

  • Local churches to be eager and confident in reaching out in love to the needy community (Titus 2:13-14).
