Pray for your kids — self control

A man without self-control is like a city broken into and left without walls.

(Proverbs 25:28 ESV)

Self control is such a hard thing to learn at any stage of life, particularly so for an impetuous child!

Thank God that self control is the fruit of the Holy Spirit, so we can pray for God to cause this fruit to grow in our kids as the Holy Spirit dwells in them and makes them conform to the image of Christ.

But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.

(Galatians 5:22-23 ESV)
