On demand: God’s Word

You know when I sit and when I rise up;

You discern my thoughts from afar.

Psalm 139:2

God knows every thing I do. He also knows every thought I have. Therefore He knows when my thoughts, attitudes and actions do not line up.

God sees me as other people see me, as you see me. He also sees me as I see myself, He knows my thoughts, emotions and impulses. He understands when I try to do good but it turns out all wrong. He sees clearly when I know the good I should do but do not do it (James 4:17).

Because God knows me this intimately, He is able to guide me in the finest details of my life. He brings His word to bear exactly where it is needed, at the point of my thoughts and intentions (Hebrews 4:12) so that I need not be a slave to sin, I can choose righteousness (Romans 6:17-18).

Thanks be to God!
