He knows what you can endure

You search out my path and my lying down

and are acquainted with all my ways.

(Psalm 139:3)

God knows your heart, He knows exactly how much you can bear. That may be more than you think, but He has promised not to put upon you more than you can endure (1 Corinthians 10:13).

Because God knows us better than we even know ourselves, and God’s purpose is to be glorified in all things (1 Corinthians 10:31) and true faith glorifies God (Ephesians 1:12), then we must be tested so that our faith in Jesus can be shown to all creation as being true (1 Peter 1:6-7).

There is a point to the trials in your life; to glorify God. When this is the purpose of it and Jesus is interceding for you (Romans 8:34), you can be sure that He will not let your faith fail (Luke 22:32).
