  7. Desert Dawn by Waris Dirie. Finished May 2009. I was very inspired by this book, it has caused me to think differently about what is really necessary to live a worthwhile life. ISBN 1-86049-853-1
  8. The Effective Father by Gordan MacDonald. Finished May 2009. Although written by a Christian author of reasonable reputation, this would be one of the more irritating books I have recently read. It consistently implies that unless you are doing as the author recommends, then you are failing as a father, yet the assumptions made in this book are very middle-class American and this is even more obvious 30 years after the date it was published. ISBN 0-8423-0680-3
  9. The Message of Prayer by Tim Chester. Finished June 2009. I took over a year to finally finish reading this book! It is good and worthy of more application than I have given it. I should read it again. ISBN 0-85111-406-7
